Nag’s Head Prospectus of Ideas

The prospectus tells a story of where we have been, where we are now, and where we want to get to.

This strategy is a collaborative document that presents a shared vision with opportunities for Nag’s Head Town Centre that celebrate its uniqueness whilst recognising its challenges. It builds onto key council priorities, including the council’s work towards a fairer, greener and healthier borough that promotes community wealth-building, green infrastructure, inclusive economies and thriving communities.

With this document, we want to spark positive change and help create a more resilient Nag’s Head Town Centre, continuing the support of the community. To support this, the document aims to increase local stakeholders’ sense of ownership and encourage positive ideas to help guide future change, funding and investment.

The document builds on the wealth of initiatives and projects already happening in Nag’s Head Town Centre, because celebrating and bolstering what is already there is key to supporting a more resilient town centre. To help illustrate what the future of Nag’s Head Town Centre could be, the prospectus outlines opportunities for social, economic and environmental improvements which is supported by a catalogue of ideas. It presents potential projects that reflect the aspirations of local people, stakeholders and the council.

Commissioned by the London Borough of Islington, the prospectus was created in partnership with Office S&M Architects supported by Jamila Saha, with community engagement carried out by Holloway Neighbourhood Group. A microsite, created by Adam Tarasewicz, has been developed to go with this document and this will be updated as new projects and plans emerge.
